Do I Need a Prescription?

For Home Use

• No prescription is required to purchase or operate Airvida soft shell or hard shell chambers operating at 2.0 ATA or below.

• Users simply sign a medical acknowledgment form confirming that they’ve consulted a physician and been cleared for use.

For Clinical Use

• Medical and wellness professionals (e.g., MDs, chiropractors, naturopaths) do not need a prescription to purchase.

• However, clinics should have a certified hyperbaric technician (CHT) on staff or complete approved safety and operational training.

• Certification programs are available and recommended for clinical operators.

For Insurance or Reimbursement

• Airvida chambers are typically not covered by insurance.

• In cases of HSA/FSA eligibility or reimbursement requests, a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from a licensed provider may be helpful.
