# Does Airvida use pure oxygen like hospital hyperbaric chambers?

No. **Airvida chambers do not use 100% pure medical-grade oxygen** the way hospital-based hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) systems do. Instead, Airvida chambers are designed for **mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy (mHBOT)** and use one of two methods for oxygen delivery:

#### 🌀 1. Room Air Compression (Baseline Use)

Airvida chambers compress normal atmospheric air inside the chamber to 1.3–1.5 ATA. Even without added oxygen, the increased pressure helps your body **absorb more oxygen** than you would at sea level.

#### 🌬️ 2. Oxygen Concentrator (Optional Add-On)

When paired with an **oxygen concentrator**, Airvida chambers deliver **90–96% oxygen** through a nasal cannula or mask. The concentrator filters nitrogen from room air, enriching the oxygen safely — **no tanks, no refills, no medical license required**.

- Hospital chambers often operate at **2.0 ATA or higher**
- They use **100% medical oxygen tanks** under strict supervision
- Intended for FDA-approved medical conditions (e.g., burns, decompression sickness)
