Safety Guidelines for Mounting Electronics in Hyperbaric Chambers

Electronics and hyperbaric oxygen therapy don’t always mix — especially in oxygen-rich environments where the risk of combustion is significantly increased. Airvida maintains a strict safety policy regarding electronics inside chambers. Here's what you need to know:

✅ Safe: Hardwired & Integrated Electronics

Airvida chambers can include certain factory-installed, hardwired systems — such as the integrated Red Light Therapy Package — which are:

  • 🔌 Fully integrated into the chamber infrastructure

  • 🔒 Enclosed and sealed, with no exposed wiring

  • ✅ Tested for use in hyperbaric, oxygen-enriched environments

These are the only electronics approved for use inside Airvida chambers.

❌ Strictly Prohibited: Phones, Tablets & Lithium-Ion Devices

Due to serious safety concerns, no personal electronics with lithium-ion batteries are allowed inside Airvida hyperbaric chambers.

This includes:

  • 📱 Smartphones

  • 💻 Laptops

  • 🎧 Wireless earbuds/headphones

  • 🔋 Any battery-powered or plug-in consumer device not supplied by Airvida

⚠️ Lithium-ion batteries can spark or combust under pressure and oxygen exposure. Airvida prohibits their use inside all chambers, softshell or hardshell.

⚠️ Medical Implants: Doctor’s Clearance Required

If you have any implanted medical devices such as:

  • Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) systems

  • Pacemakers

  • Insulin pumps

You must consult with your neurosurgeon or physician before using any hyperbaric chamber.
